You test
The invoice is built from the schedule — CIS on labour only, never materials, and the domestic reverse charge worded the way HMRC wants it.

Are the certificates BS 7671 compliant?
Certio produces EICR, EIC, Minor Works and PAT documents laid out to the model forms in BS 7671 (18th Edition, as amended — A4:2026), with the NICEIC and NAPIT wording electricians expect. The document is the tool; the engineering judgement stays yours. You are the competent person signing it, exactly as you would on paper.
Does the AI invent test readings?
No. It only transcribes values it can read — from your photo of the board, your tester's screen or your dictation — and never guesses. Anything it infers rather than reads is flagged as an assumption for you to confirm. Blank stays blank until you fill it.
Will it message my customers on its own?
No. Certio drafts replies, chasers and statements in your voice and then waits. Nothing is sent to a customer until you have read it and tapped send.
Is the Free plan really free?
Yes. £0, no card, no time limit. EICR, EIC, Minor Works and PAT are all in it, with unlimited certificates, customers and jobs. The PDFs carry a small Certio mark, and the board scan and tester-screen reads are on the paid plans.
Is a card needed to start?
The Free plan needs no card and has no time limit. Starter and Pro start with 7 days free: you add a card, nothing is taken for 7 days, and if you cancel before day 8 you pay nothing. Payments are handled by Stripe.
What happens when the free trial ends?
Billing starts from day 8 — Starter £4.99 a month, Pro £9.99 a month. Cancel before then and nothing is taken; the app drops to view-only, your certificates stay yours to open, export and download, and subscribing again switches everything back on. We don't hold your documents hostage.
Can I cancel whenever I want?
Yes. Monthly, no contract, no notice period, no exit fee. A couple of taps from Billing in the app or the web portal, and you keep the plan to the end of the month you've paid for.
Do I need my own AI keys or accounts?
No. Nothing to sign up for elsewhere and no keys to paste. The AI is included in your plan and runs on Certio's own accounts.
Does it work with no signal on site?
Yes. Certificates, jobs, photos, quotes and invoices live on your phone and sync when you're back on signal. The board scan and tester-screen read queue up and run as soon as you reconnect.
Is there an iPhone version?
Yes. Certio Certs is on the App Store, free to download. Sign in with the same account you use on Android or in the browser at certio.uk.
Can I bring my old certificates and invoices over?
Yes, and we do it for you, free, on every plan. Email support@certio.uk with what you're on today and attach the exports. Certificates come in as documents on the right customer, with customers, quotes and invoices alongside. We never alter or re-sign a certificate issued elsewhere.
