What Certio does on this form

The typing, done for you. The judgement, still yours.

Electrical Installation Certificate, BS 7671:2018+A4:2026. Certio lays out the form and does the typing; the design, the testing and the signature stay yours.

📷

Board scan

Photograph the new consumer unit and the circuits, device types and ratings go into the schedule of test results.

🔌

Test results

Tester-screen reads or a paired Megger drop the readings into the right cell. Type anything else.

📋

Design, construction, inspection & testing

The three declarations, the schedule of inspections and the schedule of test results, in the order the form expects.

📄

The model form

Laid out to the Electrical Installation Certificate in BS 7671:2018+A4:2026, with your logo, scheme details and signature.

📤

Send it

The branded PDF goes to the customer from the app. On Pro, the certificate is released when the invoice is paid.

💷

Quote it, invoice it

On Pro the same job carries the quote, the invoice with CIS and reverse charge, and the chase.

It never guesses a reading. The AI only transcribes what it can actually read — from your photo of the board, your tester's screen or your dictation. Where it infers something that isn't printed in front of it, the field is flagged as an assumption for you to confirm. Blank stays blank until you fill it. You are the competent person signing, exactly as on paper.

How it goes on the job

1
Start the EIC on the job

Customer and site are already on the job, so the form starts filled in.

The schedule fills with what was read. Assumed values are flagged.

3
Bring the readings in

From your tester's screen or a paired Megger, or by typing.

4
Sign and send

Sign on the phone, send the PDF, invoice from the same screen.

Pricing

Starter £5 a month, free for 7 days. Pro £10 with unlimited certificates.

Pro and Business are billed from day one — no contract, cancel any time. Pro adds priced quotes from a drawing, invoicing with CIS and reverse charge, receipts and the chase — the whole job, not just the form.

Questions

Is the EIC laid out to the BS 7671 model form?
Yes. The Electrical Installation Certificate follows the model form in BS 7671:2018 as amended (A4:2026), including the schedule of inspections and schedule of test results.
Can I do the Minor Works certificate instead for a small job?
Yes. Minor Works is in Certio too and is quicker for a single-circuit addition or alteration. See the Minor Works page.
Does it work with no signal on site?
Yes. Certificates, jobs, photos, quotes and invoices live on your phone, so a plant room with no bars doesn't stop you working. Everything syncs when you're back on signal. AI features that need the internet — reading a board photo or a tester's screen — queue up and run as soon as you reconnect.
Can I use it on a laptop?
Yes. The same login works in any web browser at certio.uk, so you can finish a certificate at the desk that you started on site. iPhone users use the web version today; the App Store build is with Apple.
Is the certificate branded as mine?
Yes. Your logo, business details and scheme registration go on every PDF, and you sign on the phone. The customer gets your certificate, not ours.
