What Certio does on this form

The typing, done for you. The judgement, still yours.

Minor Electrical Installation Works Certificate, BS 7671:2018+A4:2026. Certio lays out the form and does the typing; the work and the signature stay yours.

Built for the small job

An added socket, a new cooker circuit, a light moved — the form for the single-circuit work you do every week.

🔌

Test results

Photograph your tester's screen or pair a Megger and the readings land in the right cell.

The model form

Laid out to the Minor Electrical Installation Works Certificate in BS 7671:2018+A4:2026, with your logo and signature.

📤

Send it

Branded PDF to the customer from the app. On Pro, it's released when the invoice is paid.

💷

Invoice from the same job

On Pro, the invoice — with CIS and reverse charge where they apply — goes with it, and Certio chases it.

🗂️

Filed against the customer

So the next visit starts from the last one.

It never guesses a reading. The AI only transcribes what it can actually read — from your photo of the board, your tester's screen or your dictation. Where it infers something that isn't printed in front of it, the field is flagged as an assumption for you to confirm. Blank stays blank until you fill it. You are the competent person signing, exactly as on paper.

Questions

Is it the proper model form?
Yes. The Minor Electrical Installation Works Certificate follows the model form in BS 7671:2018 as amended (A4:2026). You are the competent person signing it.
When should I use an EIC instead?
A Minor Works certificate is for additions and alterations that don't include a new circuit. New circuits and new installations need an Electrical Installation Certificate, which Certio also does.
Does it work with no signal on site?
Yes. Certificates, jobs, photos, quotes and invoices live on your phone, so a plant room with no bars doesn't stop you working. Everything syncs when you're back on signal. AI features that need the internet — reading a board photo or a tester's screen — queue up and run as soon as you reconnect.
Can I use it on a laptop?
Yes. The same login works in any web browser at certio.uk, so you can finish a certificate at the desk that you started on site. iPhone users use the web version today; the App Store build is with Apple.
Is the certificate branded as mine?
Yes. Your logo, business details and scheme registration go on every PDF, and you sign on the phone. The customer gets your certificate, not ours.
