What Certio does on this form

The typing, done for you. The judgement, still yours.

Electrical Installation Condition Report, BS 7671:2018+A4:2026. Certio lays out the form and does the typing; the inspection, the testing and the codes stay yours.

📷

Board scan

Ways, device types and ratings read off the consumer unit into the schedule of test results. Anything it can't read stays blank — never guessed.

🔌

Test results

Photograph your tester's screen or pair a Megger over Bluetooth, and the readings land in the right cell. No writing them on your arm.

⚠️

Observations

Photo of the defect, the C1 / C2 / C3 / FI code and wording with the regulation reference. The code is your call; the typing isn't.

Filed against the job

Every EICR sits on the customer and site, with photos, so the next periodic starts from the last one.

It never guesses a reading. The AI only transcribes what it can actually read — from your photo of the board, your tester's screen or your dictation. Where it infers something that isn't printed in front of it, the field is flagged as an assumption for you to confirm. Blank stays blank until you fill it. You are the competent person signing, exactly as on paper.
On site

How it goes on the job

1
Photograph the board

Open a new EICR on the job and snap the consumer unit. The schedule fills with what was read.

2
Test the circuits

Readings come in from your tester's screen or a paired Megger, or you type them. Assumed values are flagged for you to confirm.

3
Code what you found

Add each observation with a photo; pick the code; the wording and reg reference are drafted for you.

4
Sign and send

Sign on the phone and send the branded PDF. Chase the invoice from the same job.

Pricing

Starter £5 a month, free for 7 days. Pro £10 with unlimited certificates.

Pro and Business are billed from day one — no contract, cancel any time. Pro adds priced quotes from a drawing, invoicing with CIS and reverse charge, receipts and the chase — the whole job, not just the form.

Questions

Is the EICR laid out to the BS 7671 model form?
Yes. The Electrical Installation Condition Report follows the model form in BS 7671:2018 as amended (A4:2026), with the schedule of inspections and schedule of test results and the NICEIC and NAPIT wording electricians expect. You are the competent person signing it.
Does the AI decide the observation codes?
It suggests one and shows its reasoning, but you choose C1, C2, C3 or FI. Certio drafts the wording and the regulation reference for you to check, and attaches the photo.
Does it work with no signal on site?
Yes. Certificates, jobs, photos, quotes and invoices live on your phone, so a plant room with no bars doesn't stop you working. Everything syncs when you're back on signal. AI features that need the internet — reading a board photo or a tester's screen — queue up and run as soon as you reconnect.
Can I use it on a laptop?
Yes. The same login works in any web browser at certio.uk, so you can finish a certificate at the desk that you started on site. iPhone users use the web version today; the App Store build is with Apple.
Is the certificate branded as mine?
Yes. Your logo, business details and scheme registration go on every PDF, and you sign on the phone. The customer gets your certificate, not ours.
