The make, model, main switch and every way are drawn out on screen: device type, rating and which RCD the way sits behind.
Go down the list against the real board. Include or skip each way, correct anything misread, fill the blanks. Nothing is imported until you say so.
The confirmed circuits land in the schedule of test results with their devices and ratings. You add the readings, code what you found, sign and send.
The rule is the same everywhere: if it is not legible in the photo, it does not go in the certificate as fact.

Most poor scans are poor photos. Six things fix nearly all of them.
Take the cover off so the device bodies and markings are visible. A photo through a closed lid gives you way numbers and little else.
Stand in front of the board, not off to one side. A steep angle squashes the printing on the far end of the row.
Meter cupboards are dark. Use a torch off to the side rather than a flash straight at the board, because the glare washes out exactly the small printing it needs.
Get the label strip or the legend card in the frame. That is where the circuit descriptions come from. Wipe the dust off old handwritten labels first.
If you cannot read a device's rating on your own screen, it can't either. Take a second, closer photo of that row.
Photograph each distribution board separately rather than trying to get two boards and a henley block into one frame.
The honest limits, so you know before you rely on it.
Loose terminations, a missing blank, the condition of the tails, the bonding: none of that is in a photo of the front. That is your inspection, and the schedule of inspections is yours to complete.
Certificates, jobs and photos work offline, so you can keep going with no signal. The scan itself needs a connection, so the photo queues and runs when you are back on bars.
Those are the forms with a full circuit schedule. Minor Works certificates and PAT records are in Certio, but there is no circuit schedule for the scan to fill on them.
On Starter at £4.99 a month the board scans and tester-screen reads come out of a small monthly allowance. Pro at £9.99 a month does not have that cap.
Faded handwritten legends, rewireable fuse carriers and boards with the labelling long gone will leave more blanks. The scan is a head start on those, not a finished schedule.
